The NJC-Dalton Transactions Travel Prize for Best Poster from a Graduate Student or Postdoc

One poster presented by a Graduate Student or Postdoc at the UC Davis Inorganic Chemistry Symposium will be selected by judges to receive this prize. The prize is an award of $500 in the form of travel reimbursements to present the poster research work at a meeting/conference/symposium. 

The Chevron Travel Prize for Best Poster from a Graduate Student 

One poster presented by a Graduate Student at the UC Davis Inorganic Chemistry Symposium will be selected by judges to receive this prize. The prize is an award of $500 in the form of travel reimbursements to present the poster research work at a meeting/conference/symposium.

The Chevron Travel Prize for Best Poster from a Postdoc 

One poster presented by a Postdoc at the UC Davis Inorganic Chemistry Symposium will be selected by judges to receive this prize. The prize is an award of $500 in the form of travel reimbursements to present the poster research work at a meeting/conference/symposium.

The Science Advances Travel Prize for Best Poster from a Graduate Student or Postdoc (2 Awards)

Two posters presented by a Graduate Student or Postdoc at the UC Davis Inorganic Chemistry Symposium will be selected by judges to receive this prize. The prize is an award of $500 in the form of travel reimbursements to present the poster research work at a meeting/conference/symposium. 

The Susan M. Kauzlarich Undergraduate Award in Inorganic Chemistry 

This award provides a summer research stipend for two chemistry majors (continuing students of junior or senior standing) whose research is focused on inorganic chemistry. Up to two awards of $2000.00 each. Applications are accepted during the Winter/Spring quarter each year for presentation of awards in the Spring.

The Marilyn M. Olmstead Student Excellence Award in X-Ray Crystallography 

This award provides a research stipend for one undergraduate chemistry major of junior or senior standing whose research is focused X-Ray Crystallography. Up to $1,000 is awarded. This award was established by and in honor of the retirement of Marilyn M. Olmstead, professor of chemistry at UCD. Olmstead is a world-renowned crystallographer, a scientist who determines - via a picture created through x-ray diffraction - the geometric structure of new molecules chemists have formed. Applications are accepted during the Winter/Spring quarter each year for presentation of awards in the Spring.

ACS Undergraduate Award in Inorganic Chemistry

This award recognizes achievement by undergraduate students in inorganic chemistry and to encourage further study in the field. Every ACS Certified Department is eligible to nominate one student for this award. The student nominee will have demonstrated excellence in inorganic chemistry at the undergraduate level based on any combination of research, coursework, and /or motivation / interest / dedication as defined by their nominating institution and should have future plans that include a career in chemistry.
