The Department of Chemistry offers in-person and virtual advising services to undergraduate students interested in any Chemistry major or the Chemistry minor. See below for more information about your advisors and how to meet with them.

Email either of the Staff Advisors at [email protected] or either of the Peer Advisors at [email protected]. Emails are answered in the order received. Emailing multiple times will likely delay your receiving a response. Advisors typically respond within 2-3 business days or sooner.

NOTE: Appointments with the Staff and Peer Advisors are only open to declared Chemistry Majors. If you would like to change to a major within the Chemistry Department, visit our Change of Major Process Webpage.
The Staff Advisors assist students with general academic planning, clarify department requirements and policies, approve forms and petitions, process hold removals, and provide referrals to campus resources. The Peer Advisors offer a peer perspective on course selection, general academic planning, declaring a major or minor, getting involved in the Chemistry Department, talking to faculty, research, internships, and navigating campus resources.
