Bio

Our lab designs transition metal complexes to mimic the catalytic activity of metalloenzymes, which often utilize light to drive redox reactions. By harnessing the unique and tunable properties of transition metals and integrating them with light-responsive ligand moieties, these complexes will facilitate a range of selective and efficient chemical transformations with applications in areas such as energy conversion and chemical synthesis. This research combines organic and inorganic synthesis, electrochemical and spectroscopic techniques in addition to reactivity studies.
