Document Printing
Document printing to both Canon copiers (Chemistry room 109) is possible from Campus Wireless, as well as Department Wired connections. Note: You cannot print to the copiers if you are connected to the Library's Pulse Secure VPN or the ucd-guest wireless network. Here are the instructions for adding the printers to your computer or printing from USB:
PC
- Open settings, select "Bluetooth and Devices" and then select "Printers & Scanners"
- Click "Add device"
- Click "Add new device manually"
- Select "Add printer by using an IP address or hostname"
- Select TCP/IP in device type
- enter 169.237.39.3 in the "Hostname or IP address" field
- DO NOT check mark the box for "query the printer and automatically select the driver to use"
- click on "Have disk"
- Download and install driver from here.
Mac
- Open the Printers & Scanners Preference Panel in System Preferences
- Select the "+" in the lower left corner
- Select the IP Tab and fill out the following information:
- Address
- chem-cups.ucdavis.edu
- Protocol
- Internet Printing Protocol - IPP
- Queue
- printers/Xerox_Printers
- Use
- Generic PostScript Driver
- Make sure to click the Duplex Printing Unit checkbox before finishing the setup
- Address
Canon
- To use special features like auto-stapling and hole punching please reference the drivers properties provided by Canon
