The 6th Annual UC Davis Inorganic Chemistry Symposium was held on November 13th, 2025 at the Student Community Center. This event was designed to highlight innovative studies in inorganic chemistry. The day consisted of invited speaker presentations given by Daniel Gamelin (University of Washington), Rebecca Abergel (UC Berkeley), Madalyn Radlauer (San Jose University), Theodor Agapie (Caltech), and T. Don Tilley (UC Berkeley).
The event also included a poster session that granted postdoctoral, graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to present their work and earn poster prizes. At the conclusion of the event best poster awards were given to the following students:
- Best Undergraduate Poster - Rhea Dhalla
- Best Graduate Poster - Jacob Watkins
- Travel Prize - Best Graduate Poster - Nicholas Mrachek
- Travel Prize - Best Postdoc Poster - Rajesh Kandel
Hosting events like this allow for students to network between academic and industry professionals in their fields of study, it provides an opportunity for our alumni to visit UC Davis and it provides an opportunity for us to interact with researchers and students from our neighboring colleges and universities. This year we were happy to welcome faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students from multiple schools in the area.
