Grad Student Hoby Wedler Featured in "Diversity in Action" Magazine
Henry "Hoby" Wedler, the Department's trailblazer for the visually impaired, has been featured as the November cover story for Diversity in Action magazine, which focuses on diversity in the STEM fields.
As our resident celebrity, Hoby has been interviewed by numerous outlets, including Capital Public Radio and the Sacramento Bee. He has even shaken hands with President Obama when he was honored at the White House as a "Champion of Change."
Hoby is currently in his fifth year of the Ph.D. program. He works in the lab of Professor Dean Tantillo conducting research in the field of computational organic chemistry.
