Assistant Professor in Inorganic Chemistry, University of California, Davis

The Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Davis invites applications for a full‐time
faculty position in Chemistry. This search will be conducted at the assistant professor rank, and the
resulting hire will be at the assistant professor rank regardless of the proposed appointee’s
qualifications.

Individuals specializing in Inorganic Chemistry (including bioinorganic, catalytic, energy‐related inorganic
chemistry, and those who employ modern analytical tools for investigations in these areas) are
encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field is required. Candidates must possess (or
demonstrate the potential to achieve) a strong record in the areas of research, teaching and service.
Candidates must also possess the ability to teach lower and upper division chemistry courses, and
graduate level chemistry courses, and be strongly committed to providing service to the department,
university, and chemistry communities.

The start date for this position is July 1, 2017. The position will remain open until filled. To ensure full
